Help Wanted: Are You Really Ready to Hire Someone?
Instead of sitting, sweaty-palmed, across from a potential employer, you’ve made it to the other side. Now you’re the one sitting cool and collected across from a sweaty-palmed potential hire, trying to parse if they are the right person for the job. Perhaps you found a potential match on the Lonely Hearts Board. Maybe you’re swamped with work and feel desperate for help. Whatever the scenario, you’re thinking the time has come to bring someone else on to your team.
But slow down a minute: Are you really ready? Like, really ready? Sure, bringing on help sounds easy enough—post a job, ask around, find a person, shake some hands, pay them money.
